Did any 1 watch it


A documentary covering FGM in east Africa first focussed on a somali family living in northern Kenya. 2 sisters 1 called amina the other fowsia.. age i think 8 and 9 were circumcised right in front on the TV screens!!

Me an my family were watching it, the 1st girl was weeping saying "no no" stop as she was being tied down... But the 2nd gyal Fowsia DAMN!!

The screaming was just insane it was like she was being possessed by a devil!! more then 3 of the women had 2tie her down!!

The reason so many have that done to them is b/c of backward parents who think they need to do this to preserve the virginity of their daughters. Nevermind the fact that it will not stop someone from being promiscuous. Oh well.

Keeping a girls virginity and purity is so much important 2them...

i remember the part when they interviewed another little somali girl and asked her how she felt about it... she came up with a cleaver answer 4 an 11yr and said that it was "unnecessary" and "culturally wrong"

Then her hooyo said... "No, its our tradition and it makes girls more special among society"

like wtf even her daughter makes more sense ..

The only Somalis who do this are backwards, uneducated, primitive parents. Unfortunately, they represent the majority. Which is why I stress education and please don't any of you do this to your daughters. Its disgusting and harmful.

I know plenty of girls who were not circumcised and are virgins. FGM will not stop someone from being a hoe. Its all about morals and your upbringing.

Its not always about education, i had 1 guy who i knew and were all chatting about it then he said, "I'd rather have that done 2my daughters then 2enure they don't end up love'z"

This mentality still exist among young men, thinking that family honor is way more important then the girls painful ordeal
