The Mareehan history of Somalia, which is ultimately part of the history of Somalia. Did not Start in 1969 my friends, but in 1542. When Mareehan were at the helm of the Adal Empire. Lead first by the formidable Ahmed Gurey and later his nephew Nur ibn Mujahid who married Ahmed's widow, and belonged to the Marehan clan, in return for his promise to avenge Ahmed's death, Ibn Mujahid succeeded Ahmed Gurey, and continued hostilities against his northern adversaries until he killed the Ethiopian Emperor in his second invasion of Ethiopia, Together this two Mareehan men captured the entire ethiopian Nation as we know it today....So my brother is this not worthy of History. These two men ruled by the Shahada too, and they established a strong Islamic State.

That is one powerfull Somali history that we Somali's should all be proud of, Mareehan or non Mareehan.
