I dont know much about them besides being 40 million, extremely divided and generally look down upon by xabashi. But Amaxara women are hot though (atleast the ones I came across), so aslong as they dont deny their heritage and shid, let them hit the base in peace and mayn.

everyone in ethiopia looks down on them even the negro mengistu ruled them for 25 years...they are really dumb people but i have nothing against them

Everyone is a Negro to someone. As QansaGabeyle mentioned, the Issaaqs view the Hawiyes as people of jareer intermixing....

The Northern Sudanese consider the south inferior or backward negros. A southerner (Dinka/Nuer/Anuak) man getting a northern Sudanese woman is viewed favorably by southern sudanese ethnic groups....while a Nothern Sudanese man getting a Southern ethnic group woman is looked down upon by Northern Sudanese people


Even the Amharas are viewed as backward inferior negros by Eritreans. Eritreans are looked down upon by their society if they marry an amhara or Tigray Ethiopian...they consider them backward negros and inferior to them....Eritreans refer to amharas as adgis (donkey) and they refer to all Tigrayans with "Agame"...which...well, here's a BBC article on the word agame...

After Eritrea was forcibly annexed by Ethiopia's Haile Selassie in 1962, poor Tigrayans flooded into Asmara in search of work as janitors, cleaners and labourers.

If a job was dirty and demeaning in Eritrea, it was probably done by the "Agame", as the Tigrayans were dismissively known.

Here's a british historian who got to the bottom of the word "agame" and on why Eritreans refer Tigrayan people by it.

A number of factors came into play in this complex relationshiop that can broadly be called cultural. One could be described as a question of perception.The EPLF (Eritrean Peoples' Liberation Front) had given training and soccour to the TPLF (Tigray Peoples' Liberation Front)in its early stages and tended to treat the movement as its younger brother.

Ordinary Tigrians not involved in politics of the Front also felt patronised by Eritreans. They had for many years taken low paid, low status jobs in Eritrea as casual labrourers and domestic servants. Tigrians were denigrated as Agames-a term that implied that they were all uncouth peasants. Most of the Tigrians were working in Eritrea were hired as labrouers. Some got work slaughtering farm animals, while others took up jobs such as woodcutters, potters and shepherds. Women were hired as waitresses, housemaids and washer-women. Many prostitutes in Asmara were Tigrians. Eritreans on the other hand used their skills and capital to buy into or build up business in Ethiopia. Class, privileges, snobbery and envy were unspoken elements that ate away at the relationship fronts"
