FUNDRAISING FOR SAMIA!!!

Post by Kramer »

I thought we could all sponsor Samia and either build a state of the art gym for track and fitness in Mogadusho for her, or we could pay her ticket and training here in America for 6 months! until the next Olympic, then we gonna travel to the next Olympic in 2012 in London and cheer her like crazy! you don't want to make this youngesters dream die and fail?
all she wanted was to make us proud and you can do something about it! stop being so negative, and just try to make her dream come true!
She is very young and she could come back strong in 2012 -and there is alot of Somalis in London to support her, so are you ready to build a gym or pay her ticket to either America or UK to train with world class coaches and players?

There IS a state of the art stadium and track in Mogadishu, but it's being used as a military base, so she had to use the cruddy one built in the 1950s instead.

Also, she has no funding at all, she and her family literally sacrificed to train her for running.

Peace and good government will solve her troubles, but sadly fundraising for a new track will not. Fundraising for her to have time to train will though, as well as some bodyguards to tell the militiamen to bugger off.

that's haram. i will not support a young muslim girl to part-take in the olympics. look at her. that is not the way a muslim woman should look like. if it were a male that would've been a different case.

Which Hadith or verse of the Qu'ran condemns women participating in athletic competitions?

Don't you see she is wearing long pants and a big t-shirt compared to other women wearing bikini and bras?

Basra --yea, I will give her an inspiration next year, and tell her "I will make u my wife and bring you to America, if you win the Olympics next season" and then she will have a good motivation to go all the way!
