Marrying outside Somalis!

Its not so weird to me when I see people marrying outside of Somalis if they are good cultured people and Muslim!

Even myself I've dated many women who aren't Somali, and marrying one is not something weird to me.

Now if you ask me about marrying shiisheeye somaaliyeed then thats another case


Seriously, why do somali parents and famalies think like that, its easier for them to except non-Somali then Somaali "shisheeye ah."

I swear I might come off as too much into tribes and what not, but I would want an environment where my children can marry from any clan and everything would be content, be it midgaan, isaq, hawiye, or majeertaan!

In My Family it's all about Class iyo diin. I couldn't marry from the poor even if they were Majeerteen simple as that.

Family name is huge iyo family stanes.

At the end thats what it really comes down to.

You family wouldn't stop you from marrying the PM daughter if the PM himself was Midgaan or having the PM son marrying your sister. Any Somali family would welcome that with open arms.

I don't think in my family class would really work well, it matters but just being the PM's son/daughter would not be reason enough to allow the marriage, diin is the best bet and hailing from a cultured family!

if you look at in a different way, that guy is being saved a chance to have people with cave mentality as extended family members. i remember once a guy, isaaq guy, would not allow his daughter to marry an reer xamar kid from boston. the reer xamar kid got the girl pregnant outside marriage and the day ended up paying for the entire wedding for cover the whole mess.

Qansa, I think what the guy did was stup*d, sumcada xaaskada and your kids mother bas baad haleysey. There are other means to get married if her father said no just because of his qabil!
