Muslims are conservative, much more then these republicans try to make themselves out to be. When it comes to moral values and such social aspects republicans are closer, when its comes to the economical/political aspect democrats are more close to us, because we believe in strong centralized governments who should hold responsibility for the well being of every citizen. Islam is not worry about and if you want help people our, no ts a must that you help others!

I voted strongly against gays and abortion.........Yet, they said I was a democrat.

I vote for whoever is better for the economy. foriegn policy is all the same for these guys. democrats tend to be better for the economy so i am a democrat.

Those of you who don't know it, same-sex marriage and abortion are legal in Canada.

There's more at stake than whether your leader gives people the option to do something or not.

The same protections that prevent people from burning gay folks at the stake also prevent people from burning Muslims at the stake. Or have you forgotten that Muslims are heretics that can only be saved by the "cleansing fire" as far as fundie Christians are concerned?

The protections are there for good reason, and it's because America is a diverse country and half the country is morally opposed to the core principles of the other half. There will never be common ground. That's why the saying goes in America: "I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend your right to say it".

My advice is: ignore the social issues, they're too big to ever fix, and fixing them would cause more harm than they could ever do by themselves. Vote on sound economic and foreign policy.
