by the way, many famous American policy making organizations like CSIS are telling BUSH adminstration to recognize somaliland independence but CSIS analyst said the success of the TFG will be a reason why Somaliland will not get American support.

Why do you care about puntland? Shouldn't you be worried about creating 'Oromia'?

Why would any other Somalis support matter? If Puntland wants to secede from Somalia, that's an issue that is up to us ( Puntlanders) and no one else.

It is not practical. There is no deep rooted clan culture in Puntland to the extent of them wanting to separate from the rest of somalis. Another fact is that Somali Unity doesn't depend on A/Y's success or failure. He is simply another self-serving warlord like the rest before him. When his time comes, Southerners will either wise up and choose good leadership or continue on the same path. People get leadership they deserve, if Somalis don't change, more of the same is coming down the road.
