Re: Question for Puntlanders
harder than exporting cagdheers da fukk outta Puntland (we basically have a degree in that)...although shipping and handling fees are makin me consider not supporting it anymore and asking adeer Cade to look into more cost effective ways of getting rid of the Ethiomalis (I'm thinkin send em to da Qabri...and I ain't talkin "Dahar" either)
What corruption tho? *covers eyes* I don't see no corruption
As long as an Mjay is in charge, we gonna be alright... I'm jus looking forward to when we get our oil on 8)

The only thing I can tell you is puntland is part of africa, and africa is synonymous with corruption. Even western government are corrupt to a degree, so corruption is part of politics. But inshallah things will change for the better in the future. The fundamentals for good government are there, and there are hard working people in puntland, so the future looks bright.

Re: Question for Puntlanders
Patriot,
Puntland is nothing but isbaaro on a massive, organized scale. Hutu warlords are small-scale and they make it apparent that they want to loot. Majerteen warlords setup states, parliament, cabinets...all these bullshit bodies of government that can be used effectively and legally to steal money and resources from locals.
They are Somali at the end of the day, looting is part of their diet, they can't resist. However, they just do it in a more professional fashion, that's it.
And what can the locals do to these warlords? The Majerteen warlords have as much oppressive power over locals as the Hutu warlords.
Don't call it corruption, its not corruption. Just call it looting and warlordism, because that's all it is. Corruption entails that you're destroying a good thing, but all of Puntland State is a giant scheme - period!

Puntalnd is part of Somalia. It should be recovering from the civil war, it should not in any way show characteristics of a failing state, its too early to show this signs.
Havent you guys learnt any lesson from the civil war?

Patriot, Puntland is a work in progress and u have to keep the learning curve in mind...it's unrealistic to expect it to be governed perfectly when it's still rising out of the shadows of a failed state
Re: Question for Puntlanders
Paidmonk, this is why you should not be taken seriously. What isbaaro's? You're a kid who likes to provoke people, but this is getting pathetic and you need to stop with with the self-hating persona, it's getting old lil man.HAUDflower wrote:Patriot,

Corruption is a problem, but to say puntland is a 'criminal scheme' is an insult to all those who've made the region what it is today, and I'm not talkin about the corrupt leaders but the local people there and those in the diaspora.

do you know the phrase 'Once bitten twice shy'Mr. Yungnfresh wrote:Patriot, Puntland is a work in progress and u have to keep the learning curve in mind...it's unrealistic to expect it to be governed perfectly when it's still rising out of the shadows of a failed state
How many times do you want to be bitten?
Every nation has stages of development from birth, growth maturity and decline.
But why do you guys exhibit birth then immediatly show signs of decline?

Re: Question for Puntlanders
Puntland is a corrupt state, it served its purpose. Eventually PL will dissolve and more advanced states built on different pillars than PL will succeed.
Puntland and its commercial headquarters is seeing a shift in control over the city. A new admin in the region has set its foot around the outskirts of the port town. Its successor will govern the city better than PL.
