Question about Ogaden region
Who named the Western Somali lands as Ogaden region?
Did the British do that during the European expansion into Horn of Africa?

Re: Question about Ogaden region
The region was known as Ogaden even before the British. If you mean did the British document the region with this name, then the answer is yes.

Re: Question about Ogaden region
So the British named it and documented it, which means basically the only reason why the region is called in international documents as ''Ogaden region'' is because of the British.
Correct?
Correct?
Re: Question about Ogaden region

Re: Question about Ogaden region
the name itself is irrelevant, its not that when you go to that region every mile you will see a billboard written welcome to Ogaden.
People in the region want to use scapegoats and blame others fro not participating in liberating the land the Isas & Gurguras had their own liberation fronts who refuses others to use theirs?
In the end of the day its your land that is occupied.

No!, INCORRECT, I don't understand why you are twisting things, I said the region was known as Ogaden even before the British. The way to construct a good hypothesis is not misrepresenting someones answers.Somaliweyn wrote:So the British named it and documented it, which means basically the only reason why the region is called in international documents as ''Ogaden region'' is because of the British.
Correct?
If you want to debate about the Ogaden then you are most welcome as long as you don't change my words to suit your way of thinking.

Re: Question about Ogaden region
the pot and the kettle.
In former times cast iron pots and kettles were quickly blackened from the soot of the fire. The pot would then be hypocritical to insult the kettle's colour, since both are black with soot.
Hawiye iyo daarod or Darood iyo Hawiye or sacad iyo majeerten or majeerten iyo sacad.
