A woman who called authorities to report her father had attacked her was arrested after Ouachita Parish deputies determined she actually attacked her father.


Misty Crawford, 20, 1920 Louisiana 139, Lot 37, Monroe, was charged Tuesday with two counts of aggravated battery with a weapon.

According to a police report, she called deputies to her residence in reference to a battery. When deputies arrived at the scene they determined she had stabbed him with a pigtail comb and bit his girlfriend on the breast.

Deputies saw a red pigtail comb on the ground, a scratch on the male victim's left arm and a bite mark on his girlfriend's breast.

Both the father and Crawford denied the accusations the other made.

Crawford was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center. There are detainers on her from Richland Parish and the Monroe Police Department, and there is a warrant out of Texas.
