Forgiving & Forgetting
Forgive and forget?
Forget but not forgive?
Forgive but not forget?
Neither?
Personally....Im a blend of both my parents. My mom cant let shit go to save her life and my father is quick to let things go.
So when something is bad enough to that point of forigivng and fogetting.....I tend to forget the situation but remember that Im angry at that person. So I would say Im a 'forget but not forgive" person.

Re: Do you...
I'm a forgive, but never forget person. I easily forgive people, but i never ever forget how they wronged me.

Re: Do you...
Forget but not forgive seem to be a contradiction in term.
How can you forget something that you are unwilling to forgive.
the other way round makes more sense.
Ps...Does that include family too? If your upset with your mother what will it be...lol

lol you HAVE to forgive family (for the most part) because thats your blood.
But heres a situation with forgetting and not forgiving.
Say you have a blow out with someone and ur no longer friends. Years later you see that person. For me I would have completely forgot what the fight was about but remember that I DONT LIKE that person. make sense?

I forgive and forget, so easily. Alhamdulillah.
I don't see the point in forgiving someone, but not forgetting. To me it means you haven't really forgiving them. To forgive means to let go, and not to hold grudges. To start off with a clean slate.

I think thats a dangerious thing to do.
I fully beleive in that you teach people how to treat you. If you forgive someone then to some extenet your letting go of their responablity in the wrongful act they did. You teach that person that its okay for them to treat you that way....u dig?

Re: Do you...
Why is it dangerous sis? If the person recognizes their wrongdoing/mistake, and they show remorse, and they ask for forgiveness, then I believe you should forgive them. Obviously, they've taken responsibility for their wrongdoing by recognizing their mistakes and furthermore they also made the effort to seek forgiveness. Life's too short to hold grudges sis, and we never know what tomorrow has in store.ms.nalia wrote:Firefly wrote:I forgive and forget, so easily. Alhamdulillah.

I forgive and forget.
I'm very easy to forgive a person & never look back!

Re: Forgiving & Forgetting
For me it is Forgive and Forget. I don't get how you can forget something that you haven't forgiven for. If you still have grudges against someone after specific event then you neither forgave or forgoten them. Let it go and make sure to avoid those that did you wrong....Don't make the same mistake twice.....

ms nalia u always find yourself in drama predicament, yet u r not someone who likes drama. I guess it is your environment. Your tomboyishness and imbalance hormones make who u r but your hang out buddies make the drama u r in. YES- u do forgive easily, and forget easily, thats why u r always in this circle of drama.
