There is a big problem amgonst the muslim communities. The issue is about Zakakatul Fitr and its rulings. One of the main problems is paying Zakatul fitr in cash instead of food. In many masjids you have "Zakat Fitr" boxes. This is incorrect, because the prophet (saw) stated in both bukhari and muslim, that zakatul fitr is paid in food. So we must follow the sunnah and give food instead of money as our zakatul fitr.

The sunnah is to give food and if you can't find any poor person to give your zakat than its permissible to send money overseas to someone responsible that will buy food to those that are in need. So the whole point of Zakatul Fitr is give food away to the needy not money.

My father AUN used to give GALLEY maize but since we are now in the west no one wants your food the only option is money

When i took the money i asked the imaam if he will send to Mogadishu when he said yes i gave it the imaam in the Arabic mosque who will send to PHALASTINE

Costa, you can send your money to one of your relatives that are in Somalia or kenya, then he or she can buy food for those that need it.

Its also required to wait until the last day of Ramadan before the Zakatul-Fitr is paid as was the Sunnah with the Prophet (saw).

I've never been to Masjid Tawhid, ka waran? I stick to Masjid Assunah.

From what I hear Sh. Khaliif & Mustafa Handulle are still at it.

you have never been to Masjid Tawheed? Wallahi you should go to that masjid and benefit. I have never been there but the brothers tell me they have telelinks with the Ulaama, like Shaikh Saalih Fawzaan, Shaikh Ubayd Al Jabiree, Shaikh Suhaymee, etc. So why won't you benefit from the Ulaama? Are scared from being affected? You have nothing to lose by going there.
