Re: Somali pirates demand $35million
I googled images of somali pirates and none of them look like actual pirates.

Re: Somali pirates demand $35million
I'm going to Somalia in the Summer of 2009 and to be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to it. I'm even going to visit Eyl, which is the headbase of the pirates. Walee now I'm kinda psyched about it, to see these pirates up close and personal.

I been to Eyl this year, try not getting too close to the harbor/pirates zone. They don't like strangers around. Especially when you have camera.Starscream wrote:I'm going to Somalia in the Summer of 2009 and to be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to it. I think they were holding some ships when I was there.
Here are the pictures of that area I took:

My mom's dad is from there and we practically know the entire town. I want to meet these guys, it's gonna be my mission to figure out their operating systems.
I brag about the pirates in Uni, the arab guys have total respect for the pirates, the white guys needed to be convinced by me that they are good guys, told them about the illegal fishing and stuff and now they're diehard supporters of the "Puntland Navy".

They're just a bunch of skinny geeljires with speedboats and and RPG's nothing more nothing less.Starscream wrote: My mom's dad is from there and we practically know the entire town. I want to meet these guys, it's gonna be my mission to figure out their operating systems.

I think they have 3 divisions: - Explorers, - Back up guys when the explorers hit the jackpot, - Guys on the land to help out when they arrive with their goldmine.

Re: Somali pirates demand $35million
If this ransom comes in, according to New York Times they will have netted $60 million dollars this year. Comparable to the Somaliland government annual budget and $20 million dollars more than the Puntland administration annual budget.
I just heard that among the captives, there is a 14 year old boy.
