You are a product of your surroundings, and I've really only been to 2 major Somali communities in Toronto and Columbus and unfortunately, the ghetto is the worst place.

In Columbus, you see too many kids with the long FootLocker t-shirts up to their knees trying to look like LilWayne. Such an environment is toxic for many kids.

Walahi when we first moved to the UK, we were the only somali family in the whole area, and those biddas were cool, but things turned sour pretty quick. They had formed a gang that kept the murder rate of the city up let alone the estate, and they developed a 'them against us mentality' if you were not riding with them you became a target. Soon somalis became associated with victims, simply because they did not have any guns. They could fight but niggas aint interested in fist to fist combat. Now in that hood you dont know who is a nigga and who is a somalia, because o survive the majority of somalis have become like the niggas.

i would say choose most diversy area, not all somali/madow/white and any other ethnics.
deverse areas are the best.
once we moved temporary untill our house to finish and we lived place all the people who live are badow.
