In 5th grade, my teacher used to walk around class while we were doing our homework. markaasey ii ag istaagi jirtey and put her fingers in my hair and ask me if I had questions while she's playing my with my hair. I would say No, and she stays there, she's not done feeling my hair yet.

She kept a distance from the Surinamese, she didn't want to hurt herself.

Born and raised in Holland too, kindergarten was all white, but elementary was more multicultural with morrocans, surinamese and dutch. Went to a conservative, white high school but us Somali students had the most notorious reputation there. A government worker did a report on minorities in our school and found out that Somali students, even though outnumbered by Moroccans, we were number 1 in fraud and violence in the school.
They also didn't understand why we were so close with Moroccans and much less with the Surinamese.
