Digil y Mirifle started SYL

Cabdulqadir Sheekh Sakhaawadiin AUN was the man who thought up of SYL and founded the group. He also served as its first President, and he was Digil y Mirifle.
There goes some little known history lesson for you guys 8)

How is this possible when Digil and Mirifle was the main competitor for SYL at that time? Are you saying the guy started the SYL, then was kicked out and he started his own Xizb?

No I actually think Cabdulqadir Sakhawadiin died and then the split came, but I am not completely sure.

No s.y.l Was a xisbi in italian Somaliya and no digil and mirifle are not hawiye and geladi is subclan of Digil

SYL is the Somali Youth League, they are the group that won over independence.
Digil y Mirifle are a seperate clan from Hawiye and the rest. Geledi are a part of Digil y Mirifle
