Sahan,
That happened to me once. I went to housing court and made the landlord honor my lease for another 6 months.

HaileyBailey,
My brother is down 25%.
My uncle got out in November strictly investing in bonds and CDs even though his adviser pushed him towards stock.

Well I think Morgan Stanley's gonna need a prayer
At Morgan Stanley, Outlook Darkens; Stock Tumbles 26%
The sharks are circling closer to Morgan Stanley.

I mean we bail them out so they can go on vacation, and rack up $500,000 spa bills
Lets pray, where is the lacagdoon?

Re: Spiritual Intervention in the Stock Market
Things are starting to look a bit funny here in Australia.
We haven't had a bailout dog and pony show yet, which is promising. Our Prime Minister, and the Opposition Leader today (former Goldman Sachs employee), made the worn out statement that our economic 'fundamentals' were 'sound', and our banks stayed out of the sub-prime madness more or less, so that is a rather welcome relief.
However, today's trading was shocking. US$53 Billion (of a US$700 Billion dollar economy) or around thereof was wiped off the ASX, which was not good. Everyone running around calling it Black Friday. Watching a delayed telecast of GMA yesterday, and I see that its also being used Stateside. Our resources sector, the engine of most of Australia's growth, looks to be slowing down as demand lags in China. You'd expect then that the Resources stocks would have taken a major hit, and they did. Not pretty.
Our dollar has tanked against the American dollar, going from its high of about 94 cents down to 65 cents. Thankfully, oil has dropped as well. Only thing keeping the petrol prices relatively cheap here in Oz was the US/AUS dollar exchange rate. Paying US$3.75 a gallon for petrol (I know how you Americans have difficulty with foreign currencies and metric measurements, so I converted them).
Definitely not a nice day.

Padisah,
Its scary to see how interconnected the world economies have become.
I would be worried once your PM makes a speech like that
