Botswana's Mogae wins $5m prize

Botswana's former President Festus Mogae has won a $5m (GBP 2.8m) prize to encourage good governance in Africa.

-----

Funny developments. Apparently African presidents want to prolong their rule because of the money, so to get them give up their post of precidency they are given money 5 million dollars one time, and 200.000 Dollar annually for the rest of their life.

Somalia's first president Aden Abdulle Osman (aun) did it voluntarily and lived large for the rest of his life in his large farm in Janaale on the money he worked for himself

50 years later, African leaders need to be bribed to step down.

The chosen winner might be new but the grant idea and criteria have been out there for quite some time.

I have no cuqdad, no reason for it sxb.

The topic is about the news that Botswana's ex-president won the prize, with a commentatory about the idea of ''bribing'' African presidents to step down.

Your P.S comment was out of line and clearly aimed at something else.

Believe it or not but I actually happen to like and admire Aun. President Aadan Cadde sxb. Quit being paranoid.
