Sudanese build artificial lakes, Somalis build...

Post by HAUDflower »

30 years ago, Somalia was arguably light years ahead of Sudan in education, integration, technology, political stability, economic independence, etc.

And simply because the Somalis were unable to tame their wild side while the Sudanese worked towards that, today they are building artificial lakes while Somalis can't even deal with simple droughts. Somalia has become a country without street lights or a SINGLE paved road in the entire republic, a country where a two-story hotel is hailed as a success - EVEN THOUGH NO ONE FOCKING VISITS THAT SHIT HOLE!

Diyeeshaha, Sudan always had great institutions, but it wasn't as evenly distributed among the people as Somalia's system under Siad Barre. Somalia had better literacy 30 years ago than Sudan has had in its entire history.

Dynamic, you are Somali, deal with it.

I highly recommend Somalis to consider Sudan instead of UAE.

The UAE/Dubai is an International trading hub/business center.

Sudan is just an emerging economy based on commodities (which by the way are dropping huge these days). Sudan will suffer budget problems if oil prices will stay this low, they needed at least 85$ per barrel this year, UAE only 25$ per barrel for their budget.

You can't compare the two, maybe in 10-15 years not now.

However, the UAE/Dubai isn't independent, as it's controlled by the West. Most of its assets are owned by non-Muslims. Sudan is independent from the West's influence, plus most of its assets are owned by Muslims (including those from the Gulf).

Those that invested in Dubai 10-15 years ago got rich off their investments. Right now is probably a good time to invest in Sudan although I doubt the USA would stay out of their business and giving enough breathing room to develop their economy.

Don't count on the USA to remain a military/economic power in the foreseeable future. This is another reason why Somalis in the West should consider Sudan or other Muslim countries, because there will be drastic changes (particularly in the economic sector) in the West.
