Sir Lug

I wanted your opinion about something- did u watch obama make political speeches on the eve of his grand mas death? With his crocodile tears and fakeness- i felt sick. I truly believe that emotion was not authentic. Am i biased here? 8)

Well, I am not good at reading Jareer expressions, but I think you are biased in this. He always regarded this cadaan Granma as if she was his messiah, but who cares. She died the wrong time, now he is going to get boost from some pity votes that should've gone to our camp, Darn

Sir lug

u think i am biased? Well, i really didn't buy it. If he really cared for her, he should have let clinton speak for him instead as he mourned in seclusion and showed a genuine care. Even when his pastor was accused of racism he compared the racist pastor with his grandmother, saying his grandma many times many said racial comments. Now, seriously who will do that?Who will equate their biased racist grand ma with a racist like the pastor?I mean, what happen to hide your dirty laundry? I have a grand mother who is adorable & an enthusiastic qabilist--who openly abuses other qabils on a daily basis- one of my aunts who is the same qabil as my grand mother--directly i mean- granny is her 'Eedo lacmii' lol---this aunts mother is an ogaden. The ogadens killed my grannys brother-- and as she was sitting on salat cursing ogaden-- my aunt whispered...

"Eedo nagaa dhaaf--qaabyaalad-- everyones sides lost people, no one is a victime here" My granny with a rage unseen in the world stood up beat the crap out of her and chased her out of our home. Mom came later and my mom being that she hates scandal--yelled at ayeeyo and started doing image damage control- loooool anyway i dont want to get into the drama of our family although i notice your interest has peaked.Your eye pupils are diluting. :D The point is --i will militantly defend my ayeeyo. Despite her qabil enthusiasm, she is my hero. The point is- Obama doesn't love his white granny, he sees her as white, which is sad.  :x

Sir and Basra

With all due respect both of you guys have no idea of what advocating for. McBush is against everything we (Africans, Citizens, and Muslims) value. Please tell us 3 rational reasons that you voted/supported McBush.

Abdi,

You are the only who can rightfully vote for Obama............. you know, the Dagodia connection

Basra,

I believe every Somali family have such Ayeyo............ no, every family have such relation, they call it here the "dunkard uncle" who is shoved into the attic when guests come, but we can't do that, can we.

You are entitled to your opinion honey, but I beg to differ in this aspect. The way he was portraying her in parallel to the Reverend is basically shedding lighting on the high esteem he regards her with, in other words, his ultimate card to play and show the contrast yet commonality these two have. Those were the days he was playing the unity game before it faltered

Abdi,

That is what happens when you elect a crack addict for an influential position. What else do you expect from a product of Roxbury? Bobby Brown is a product of Roxbury.

Ladane,

Why do I have to explain my freedom of choice to a virtual Farah who has his opinions made up for him? I have my reasons and I am content with them.

R u calling my ayeeyo the 'drunked uncle'???

Sir Lug- i demand an immediate apology. My ayeeyo is not some careless, happy drunkard uncle. She is passionate and has convictions. To have a stance in qabil is a virtue not a vice. I am proud of her qabilism, and she has every right to abuse the killers of her brother. Which brings me to the crucial bursting of the year-- Sir Lug is your bitter, regulated and camouflaged irritation stemming from the cursing of ogadens? Sir Lug-- could your qabil have been exposed most inopportunely??Sir, r u an Eerryaah?

PS: My shock truly in this aunt and ayeeyo experience is the length of qabilism in our fabric of society and family lineage. This half ogaden aunt was prepared to support her reer abtii who killed her uncle-over her dads brother. her adeer?Qabilism is great walaahi!

Another story of this infamous aunt to relate to-when she was 17- her ogaden mother was divorced, and her father was married to another beautiful woman of his tribe. This aunt went to the daughters of this new wife n asked them to ask dad to buy her new clothes. When the sister said- why dont u ask him yourself, he is your dad as well. This vindictive beautiful aunt of mine responded:

Well u have more power, he will listen to u, he is sharing the bed with your mother. My mother is divorced and a nobody to him" loool Her dad overheard the conversation, and immediately took her to a shopping spree while in tears! loool On another occasion she heard her mom stop by her dads home from a trip, stayed with her ex husband home with his 'wives' for a month. She called her mom--immediately and declare-- "Hooyo ileyn Cag dher baad eheyd. How can u eat the bariis of the man who divorced and mistreated u?" The mother escaped after salut fajir at the break of dawn.

Anyway-- if u r curious what happened to her- at 20, she was married to a rich niin habar awal from dubai. She bought her mom a house in Egypt and occasionally' sends her dad money. Her dads last comment was: "Taas-- hadee iidaaftey--alhamdhulilah' pardon the broken somali lol - His respond needed to be emphasized in aaf somali alone.Until today, the dad brags, his greatest acomplishment is to find her a successful arranged marriage.

Basra,

I dare not mock your Ayeeyo, I was simply referring to the difference in culture but rest assured we all have such ayeeyo and we are all proud of them................... anyway, is she the Wabeneeye or the Isaaq one?

You must be very fond of your habaryar, the way you elevate her aggressive behavior is testimonial to your idolizing of the woman, I bet the Habar Awal guy from Dubai is miserable and regrets the day he tied the knot with your aunt.........granted that she is one who stands for her believes, that is not what the dude had in mind when he asked for her hand.
