John McCain's concession speech
Tuesday November 4, 2008
Phoenix, AZ

"A century ago, President Theodore Roosevelt's invitation of Booker T. Washington to dine at the White House was taken as an outrage in many quarters.

America today is a world away from the cruel and frightful bigotry of that time. There is no better evidence of this than the election of an African-American to the presidency of the United States."

Let there be no reason now ... Let there be no reason now for any American to fail to cherish their citizenship in this, the greatest nation on Earth."

i think this was an indirect message to the undercurrent of bigotry seeped into his campaign to which i feel he had been held hostage to by his own party..spearheaded by Palin and Co.

I love the way he was shutting down the booing crowd before they further embarrassed him.

but above all, McCain's concession speech speaks volumes of the kinda man he is(personally) in contrast to how Hilary reacted after realizing she had lost to Obama. she couldn't even bring herself to admit and congratulate Obama shortly after he had defeated her. whata bitter b!tch.

As an overzealous Obama supporter....i STAND in RESPECT to John McCain

As a defeated presedential candidate he gave great final speech, and I must admit I saw a different side of him. I bet many people were moved when he spoke of the historical significance. Words like that you can't fake it....
