Minnesota Senate Race Too Close To Call: Recount!

Post by Kolombo »

Democrat runner Al Franken should have easily won this race, but its a dead even so far:

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gMpT ... QD948RG485

571 vote difference. And the State has over 30,000 Somalis.

Talk about being a disenfranchised community.

Unbeleivable! Coleman hires a low level staff member from the Farah community to his local office and visits with the Somalis once and mentions them once and boom the knuckle-head is treated as a hero who care about Somali affairs!!!!!!!

The only person who will benefit from hsi re-election is the dude who will keep his job

MJ-Pride is one of those claiming to have voted for Coleman.

On a serious note, Al Franken is more than a funny comedian. I used to listen to his show on Air America, dude is pretty smart. Somalis are better off with him than that snake Coleman.

I fail to understand why Somalis would vote for Coleman? What has he done for them? He met with them a few times and made fake promises to them, even hinted at supporting a Somali government, etc. Our people suffer from a serious ailment, walahi.

Kolombo,

Apparently a letter he wrote about a year and half ago to the senate sub committe on foriegn affair that talked about divisions within the SOmali community in regards to the Situation back home did it. And also, he hired around three to four poeple in his office that are Somalis. Thats sums up all he did here wallahi. He doesn't even show up to events he is invited to.

Kolombo

You want to know why somalis voted for him?? read what both Niya and Ismahan wrote..

I have been warning somalis in here and even made few topics about it...too bad.

I am disapointed ..I wish I was in MN.. I would have tried to mobilize the somali communtiy organizations(I know few guys there) to inform somalis not to vote for Coleman..
Well ..too bad.. but 5 of my frnds who are professionals voted for Franken ..at least.

When will Somalis know that the only way to stabilize Somalia is if they help one another?

First lets make this clear it is said of all the Somali's in the US, The ones in Minnesota are mostly non-citizen because they are lazy and dont wanna spend money and time getting inline for the citizenship. Also why does it matter who MJ-Pride voted for. Does every Somali have to vote Democrat? Each individual can vote for who ever he or she wants.

I think we understimate what we're capable of as a people. In addition, we bring our divisions to the West, that's the sad reality.

Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) met with Somali leaders a few weeks ago and encouraged the community to vote for Al Franken and not Coleman, but as always they didn't listen.

On a different note, Ted Stevens (R-AK) might actually win re-election to the Senate eventhough he was recently convicted of 7 counts of corruption.

Non of you people know for sure what fat franken will do for Somalis. just because he's a democrat, isn't dead cert to help Somali cause?

I voted for Coleman, because I met the guy personally and know him better than the other dude

Why are you fckers forcing people to vote for Franken? There is a reason, he's winning even though franken linked himself to President Elect Obama.

This is just poor ignorance guys, anybody has freedom to choose whoever they want without explaining why

First off.. he isnt winning..there is a recount..and the incumbent always has some effect on ppl better than the challenger. so lets see and wait.

Secondly.. just because you met him once , do you really think you know him?? ok thats the effect I was talking about..you met him as a senator and that was enough for you to vote for him..

And more importantly...no one is forcing you to vote for anyone, but we are talking about whats good for somalis collectively..

Tell me one good thing he did for somalis..thats worth putting him back in the senate?? other than what was already mentioned in this thread??

Now if Franken wins...after the recount...somalis can kiss goodbye any effect they may have had on him...
and you seem to have listened the pibloar guy Volatge who argues for nothing on everything he knows nothing of..even if its about other galaxies.
