att: Recommendations Needed!!!

Im off to Paris, France on Saturday, and its my first time ashamedly. (But i have been to Lyon, if that adds any difference.) Anyways ill be staying their for 3 nights, can anyone please suggest any specific spots i MUST visit. The general sightseeing tour is covered, but im looking for particular 'urban' areas, even interested in visting Somali communities over there.

I do know half of the members here are quite worldly well cultured folk, so could you guys please recommend anything.

Oh and also, could you suggest any spots that would be great for an aspiring photographer (my friend)...-None of that postcard crap! lol

The area around the back of republique with the canal is beautiful and has lovely boutiques I was there in the summer and they had a lovely street festival.
