Maybe she is carrying twins, or she over indulged.
A baby is indeed a blessing mashallah, and the labour is the best part sisters, inshallah have your mothers there. You'll know what they went through to have you.

My mother says, that in labour will a daughter really appreciate her mother. Since the daughter will know what her mother went through to give birth to her.
Helwaa, the choice is his, most men don't have the stomach for that (their known to faint, or after seeing such ordeal trying for a 2nd baby will be out of the question).
