The funny thing is they don't ask you politely, they just start saying "war lacagtii masoodirtey" before even saying Asalamu'alaykum!.

They usually call my mom and then my mom makes us all pay qaraan.

Although, when I visited Xamar in 2005 and they saw I was no longer a little girl, they all asked for my number to supposedly keep in touch... yeah right!

I don't mind helping out if I can, but I hate it when it turns into shaxaad oo xoog ah walibo

I never heard from my close kin until the Ethiopian invasion. They were all self sufficient.

I don't mind send money back home personally. I feel really good afterwards. You can't avoid the people that call me from Africa though cos they discovered phone spoofing and they are abusing it. They call me with 614 numbers all the time.

I only give mom and dad or ayeeyo money they send it back home to Cousins and distant relatives.

I don't mind sending money. I always answer the phone, when I don't have any money to send I tell them so. But one thing I hate is they claim to know you when you were a child blah blah(when they actually didnt) - why use emotional blackmail? They make it seem like you're heartless.

Some of the people are really suffering, you really shouldn't say no unless you don't have the means yourself. No-one asks me for money, but my mom and others, and I always encourage them to send money back home, and if I do have any dosh-stashed then I contribute.

Salam Aleykum sister ! I only send money to those relatives I never hear from because they must be hurting and can not afford phone calls.

me its just my brother and cousins and one uncle sometimes even there mother of my couzins call. they love mobile Phones i already send 3 mobile phones. miid kalu rabba imika..

Who would i send home money back to? All my immediate, second and even third cousins live abroad and the few that live back home work for the state.
