The ONLF is a grassroots social and political movement founded in 1984 by the Somali people of Ogaden who could no longer bear the atrocities committed against them by successive Ethiopian regimes. that is entirely upto them and the people of this region....liberation is the number one issue of concern at the moment.

they have limited the ethiopian regime to major cities in garrison's.....a few year's back the ethiopian army use to come out and hunt the ONLF along with there dabaqhoodi but were defeated many time's loosing the capability to venture outside major cities and town's....today ONLF number's have swelled, ONLF control's much of the countryside specifically village's and various town's......they usually travel on foot giving speeche's at different localities to try and inspire the masse's to support the struggle.
