So.....am i helping the economy?

Post by Basra- »

I will be off from work for the rest of the week. So you will be seeing me alot here in the forum.

Anyway, the reason i am excited and elated, and orgasmic- is not that i have 5 entire days off from work--but that i bought a book in amazon.com. Its of course,a scholarly text book-- a collection of essays about jane austen and her works. The reason i am saying i am helping the US economy is that-- i bought it for a whooping $200.00. Go check in amazon.com, its called companion to jane austen. I mean, seriously how can i spend that much money on a book? A leisure book for my personal enjoyment? I plan to devour the book to pieces. I can imagine reading the first essay--jane austen letters-- and i am telling u-- i could easily get an instant orgasmic seisures.

Anyways........ Wish me a fabulous reading. Oh how are ya guys- by the way? 8-) Me missed ya all.

 Ayaantu --u take women lit??

U r funny, how is it going so far? Weird women in class?? U r reading Jane Eyre??? That is such a torture macaanto. I pity u. No i feel for u, charlotte bronte is annoying. But Jane eyre has a touching, feeling story with a bit of feministic view in it. In the end she rescues the hero Mr. Rochester- essentially becoming the prince charming coming to rescue -- prince broke. I mean, where is the novel in that tale? Give me a jane austen, an estate called Pemberly, a white horse and a fabulous Mr. Darcy- and i am yours to be abused.( i am referring to Charlotte bronte love for abuse and sadistic, machonistic tastes)

Somalistar-- What is your problem??? And to think that i once thought u were my heathclif--- how wrong i was.

I love my womens lit class....but really no men in sight, depressing.

Thou i don't like Jane Eyer as much the second time around, the first time i couldn't help but think i would be the same way as she is.....I hated Rochester, i've always thought she ended up with him by defualt there was no other man ANYWHERE!

I love the feel of the book and it's not happy endings, realistic.
Jane Austin is a bit tooooo emotional for me...i will be reading it none the less.

Jane austen too emotional????

Jane A. is devoid of any emotions. If she is not mocking her characters , she is articulating their funniness and foolishnes.

Ayaantu i object. There were other eligible men Jane Eyre could have married. What about her handsome counsin, the priest who was going to missionary. He was handsome and seems to have refused an eligible beautiful isabela -who had a crush on him. Jane Eyre was mesmerized with Rochester because-- he was mad, he was a pervert, and he was pathetic-- just like Jane Eyre herself. Birds of same feathers fcuk together. Ooooppps did i say that? I mean, flock together. 8-)

I swear ur the only one that gets me to write more than two lines....lol

He was her only option, i mean in the ways that would challenge her. And although he abused her, Jane being used to it, didn't take it like anyone of us would have....you right they are birds of the same feather….i kept wishing her more thou.
Jane Austin’s characters ARE too emotional and silly….I’m just sooooo HAPPY we don’t have to do Margaret Attwood’s Handmaids Tale!!!!

Somali Star, im not sensitive goof ball, i'm just tired of hearing the same fat jokes.

But then you'd have to give it BACK! I'm no good at giving books back, esp if I love it....plus I LOVE the feeling of a new book.

Oxy-- i think ayaantu got it right. The smell or feel of a new book-- your own book- with no germs from 'librarians' is priceless. And besides- i tend to take time reading a book, but this kind of book i tend to finish it quickly -because every chapter is a thriller orgasm. Yes- oxy--
I find everything i enjoy exceedingly orgasmic. I feel like there is no higher feeling than an orgasm, so its kinda an expression i have. No sexual connotation there.

Oxy-u can't possibly understand my feeling, u r a frugal person. 8-)
