Are religion and religious differences to blame for war and conflict? Many war leaders have claimed to have God on their side, but should religion get the blame

al shabaab and al qaeda kill people people in the name of god.

Its true more people have been killed in the name of religion but religion itself can't be blamed for it. Rather those who used religion to justify genocide.
