and no one knows the answer because shabaab have a different mindset...

at this point though, a civil conflict with them is pointless and just drags on the civil war further

we know that but there cant be two opposing powers in southern Somalia, otherwise it is going to be square one

I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I'd say the war in the south is over.

Al-Shabab will be absorbed into the military and police in the coming weeks, and will be the core of the new Somali Army and Somali Police.
Just like under the UIC.
