What type of Islamic country do Somalis want?

I mean really. Most Somalis used to be pretty moderate when it comes to religion.
Do we want to live in crazy countries like Saudi Arabia or Iran where women need permission from a man to drive a car?
Or a moderate normal Islamic country like Indonesia or UAE?
I personally hope for the latter. I think Somalia used to be fine before the war where religious life was left to people privacy. There is no need for the state to interfere with an individuals religious practices and observances. I really hope the new president leads the way most Somalis do. And I'm sure most don't want us to follow Saudi Arabia or Iran's path.

so who do you propose should interpret religious law?
you seem that is the problem?
When a select group are allowed to deem what is in the best interest of the population as whole, thats when problems and instability arise. Religious Law by its very nature is built on interpretation. So you'll always have EXTREMIST elements who will translate everything LITERALLY and not in context. For example, there are alot of practices that were applicable in the 7th century AD that would be not applicable today. That is why translation of religious text must always be put in context. By that very nature, disputes over interpretation will always rise.
What would be best for Somalia is to apply what has worked for other semi-successful Islamic states. Let the rule of law be in the hands of an ELECTED body that can be changed by the popular will of the PEOPLE rather than a few religious clerics. Second, allow religion to be controlled by people in the freedom of their homes and communities RATHER than through the state. When you allow a theocracy to rule the land like there is in Iran or Saudi Arabia then you are bound to have an unstable populace.
