In his statement today condemning the Ugandan soldiers' attacks, he ended the statement with a rather interesting comment. I have a crappy Somali-English web translator and I can't really catch the subtleties of what he's saying, but he SEEMS to be saying that he will work with any government that rules by Islamic law, and does not dismiss the idea of working with Sheikh Sharif out of hand.

Jubba region split from al-Shabab, they are calling themselves Hizbul Islaami now.

Listen Biitch, Al-Shabaab who hve now fragmented hve been put under intense pressure to back Sharif by the somali people, UIC and top wadaads.

Alot of them hve already started backing Sharif and the others will soon follow, so allow the hate because somalia inshallah shall hve a strong Gov and peace and development.

Hizbul Islaami have put out an official statement about Sheikh Sharif's government. It looks like Hizbul Islaami is the Asmara wing, and the government is the Djibouti wing.
