What is the Islamic view on global warming?"

Post by FiveStarGeneral »

Islam has no particular belief in it. There are two sides:

1) God is doing this as a sign of Yawm al-Qiyyama
2) God allowed humans to take care of the planet and they failed.

Muslims believe the world is God's gift to mankind and that there is proof of His existence in every natural object. The finest grain of sand, with its patterned arrangements of atoms, displays the minute detail of His reckoning. From the smallest of viruses to the largest of plants and animals, every living creature presents signs of God's creational capacity. The universe serves as a reminder that the extent of His creation is still unknown to man, and in this wondrous Universe, man's place is that of the ultimate creation.

Obviously Islam says we are in the end of times, we are the last nation. So the Islamic view is not to deny global warming but to accept it as one of the catalysts for the end of life.

Damn, how hard is it to understand that? Even a baby know that

You asked for the Islamic view on global warming and I gave it to you. What's the relavant of what Al Shabaab thinks about this, do they even think about it?

Bunch of i.diots have invaded the forum

Muslims don't believe because humans "did not take care" of the Earth god is punishing them. Muslims believe the world is ending as it IS. Global warming and the fact we are on a perpetual course for the end of human life is a manifestation of that viewpoint. One can say it is even a proof of the Qur'aan truth because what are the odds this comes up (just in the last hundred years mind you) when some of the prophecies for the end of time are being fulfilled and have already been fulfilled including when "yesterday's goat herders compete in the tallest structure" (look at Dubai and Qatar competeing over the tallest building).

Personally the one I have my eye on is date palm, when the date palm ceases to exist is when we are very close.

ok un idiots guy do you have any proof....
Look at the following verses from the Qur'an:

((It is He Who sends down rain from the sky, from it you drink and out of it grows the vegetation on which you feed your cattle.))
((With it He produces for you crops, olives, date palm, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this, is a Sign for those who give thought))
((He has made subject to you the Night and the Day, the Sun and the Moon; and the Stars are in subjection by His command: verily in this are signs for men who are wise.))
((And the things on this earth, which He has multiplied in varying colors and quantities: verily in this is a sign for men who celebrate the praises of Allah in gratitude.))
((And He has set up on this earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that you may guide yourselves. And marks and signposts; and by the Stars men guide themselves.))
((Is then He Who creates, like one that creates not? Will you not receive admonition?))
((If you would count up the favors of Allah, never would you be able to number them; for Allah is Oft-forgiving Most Merciful.))

Man should use the resources on this planet wisely, including food, water, animals, the ozone layer, etc.

An'aam {6:141}
((But waste not by excess; for Allah love not the wasters.))

Prophet Muhammad (saw) instructed his generals before they went to war that the army should not cut trees, destroy crops, slaughter cattle or pollute or poison wells.
