Prophet (a.s): Obey your ruler even if he is Meles' slave?

There is a famous hadeeth: Obey your ruler even if he is a Habaahi slave. Scholars have interpreted this to mean that we should obey our rulers whosoever they are. The wording is read to mean that even if the RULER is a haabashi slave. My question is are they wrong? Was this instead a great prophecy for the Somalis ? Should we understand it as obey our rulers even if they are slaves belonging to a midget haabeshi

How about if they think Shariah and Democracy are the same thing and everyone who disagrees is either nitpicking or against Peace Almighty, Jala Wa Ala?
Can we kick them to the kerb or shall we humbly obey? You Decide! Maybe we could do something like Ruler Idol where we can phone in to vote for our favourite Warlord, Sheikh, or Democrat? Of course the shiekhs would get rid of the word Idol -which we can agree to do- and would only sing nasheeds. Sheikh Sharif would start off with nasheeds but when he gets closer to the end he would dress sexier and belt out a real winner with the crowds. We could do it in djibouti because of the security situation in Somalia
