alshabab arrests three ladies for supporting shaykh sharif

Some soldiers loyal to the Al-Shabab administration in Lower Shabelle region have arrested three ladies accused of supporting the new government led by Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmad.

The ladies were arrested in Marka town, HQ of Lower Shabelle Region, southern Somalia, and were accused of being carrying out a campaign to drum up support for the new president, Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmad. The ladies were also accused to have tried to turn a demonstration against the new president to one supporting him.

It is not clear what charges these ladies will be facing, but they are now in Marka police station.

Yesterday's demonstrations against Sheikh Sharif were organized by Al-Shabab, but some of the demonstrators were supporting [the new president], Sheikh Sharif, and that is what had led to the arrest of the three ladies while others are being pursued
