Does anyone know the whereabouts of this guy.... or maybe know someone that knows someone that knows someone....?

He is a British Anthropologists, well known amongst the good people of the Horn of Affric, also the well known author of 'A Modern History of the Somali: Nation and State in the Horn of Africa' as well as a number of other books. (Google him)

My understanding is that he lives somewhere in London and people have attempted to get hold of him numerous times... but no luck!
So far we 'know' that he is still alive.... Last time he was contacted was about a year ago and from my understanding he was not yet admitted to an old peoples home at that time, but now :| no trace

Laqanyo...You know he'd be in his 80's and 90's by now, anyhow, rite?

Thing is...Many of his books now have new prefaces, and edition with different publishers. He'd been quoted, and referenced by others, so often, that any research he'd done is basically fluid or repeated. What u working on that u need him for, anyhow? I remember using his "Social & cultual anthropology in perspective" Book, a while back for paper. What have u read that u found so grand. If any?

Yea, i realise he is pushing a fairly old age... My old man is looking for him and he had contact with him up untill last year.
Mr Lewis has got some stuff on my paternal grandfathers that is needed at the moment for something else... i'd rather not disclose.
I thought, it is a small world and maybe, just maybe someone on snet might know something about the guy's whereabouts.
