I know this might sound crazy comming from me

but Waqooyi big time....I have observed and listen to both dialects and the waqooyi one has more somali vocabulary while the koonfur one has more english/arabic/italian vocab, another thing I observed is waqooyi kids in the west know better somali than koonfur ones raised here, the latter group only speak english and understand somali only through hearing, case in point, my nephews barely spoke somali when their mother married a waqooyi man, now when the kids come around me, waan naxaa because their somali good and formal.
