Somalis on here about the Palestinian issue

Today, I went to this meeting about the Palestinian week coming up. And you know, Somalia really isn't that bad, once I thought about it.

I mean, sure we have the civil war, we have the starvation and loss of infrastructure all these years. But, we have the freedom over our affairs (minus the xabashi and their clients) but there is a lot more wiggle room to get out of our quagmire and fix the bullshid of the last 18-25 years since the clan militancy, warlodism, and what not emerged.

Now, paidmonk will come in and post a pic of plump Palestinian kids and starving Somali children, those kids have their lives dictated by a foreign army controlling their air and land and sea. They can't move anywhere and it is a prison....

Our children in Somalia with peace have the ability to be the leaders and they have a place to run free of any external occupation. I'm not downplaying the current humanitarian crisis, so don't get it twisted, I know its pretty bad.

I'm not trying to void the seriousness of both issues. But as Muslims we're supposed to care for justice anywhere, so just cause you skinnies might see another skinny wearing a falastini cimamaad doesn't mean that skinny doesn't care for his other skinnies.

Several Somali nationals were killed in a road accident which took place in the desert area between Sudan and Libya on Wednesday.

The truck which the Somali illegal immigrants were travelling overturned. It was heading for Libya from where the Somali immigrants would proceed to Europe.

The truck departed from Khartoum [the capital of Sudan] last month and the number of people who were on board was over 60.

These Somali nationals came from Mogadishu, other parts of Somalia and also from Kenya, Uganda and South Africa. Eighteen Somalis died, some sustained injuries and others survived

To compare Palestine's issue with that of Somalia is just crazy. Somalida wa dad kibraan, they have it good and they have FREEDOM. If anything we should learn from the situation in Palestine and appreciate the fact we are not occupied.

Actually its 90% myth and lies.. at the time some families sold their land because they had no option..
They were told that either sell it or we will destroy it.. and they did destroy some houses and grabbed lands by force, intimidation, violence..basically they used all the sources at their disposal ..including spreading lies through the little media that existed at the time and the basic rule of all time.. divide and conquer.
