Is SOMALIA past the CLAN stage PERMANENTLY?

From god-knows-when to 1969 we were an anarchist nation...
From 1978 to god-knows-when we've been a clan-based state...
We all know that Islamists have been a powerhouse since they tried to take Bari in 1992...
[For Historical Reference]
We've all had family members supporting Al-Itixaad during those days. When Dahir Aweys & Adan Hashi Ceyrow (AUN) (Ceyr-Habar Gidir) were fighting a Jihad in Bari, their cousins were fighting for qabiil in Xamar. We all know the strength of religion against qabiil in those days -- at least I do (by stories & shit). These wadaads are fighting an 18 year war in Somalia and since 2006 they've had an UPPER hand in politics too. And today, 99% of Somalia's military force is on their side. At this point in time, they are literally unstoppable. No warlord, no maamul goboleed...nothing can stop them and no outside power wants to stop them as we've seen.
So since we've seen the background...can Somalia return to the clan stage?

Let's see them take over Puntland and Somaliland first. You said this would come before summer, let's see and then we can talk about whether the wadaado overpowered Clan in Somali society.

no it has not, behind all these or most of these wadaads is the same clan mentality that other somalis have. we have seen it and know it, abu mansoor protected his clansmens who happends to be a warlords but gave no mercy to other warlords.
sheikh sharif is on the path of abdidulaahi yusuf, both protected by outside forces and both unpopular among other islamists groups.
the islamist groups dont like to fight inside there home cities but wage jihad on cities were they dont have relatives.
somalia will never pass the clan mentality it was always there for the last 1000 years but atleast then we were nomands and did not see each other.

Voltage, I've made no promises but by Summer 2009, Somalia will have a single governing authority FOR SURE.
If Ethiopia, the largest historic power in our geographic region has been CRUSHED by some Somali youth - who can stop the current wave?
Nomand, you're right - Shabab has gotten soft and less to its roots lately for many reasons. But honestly, as a Majerteen man, I would love to see Shabab under Mujahid Adan Xashi Ceyrow's (HG-Ceyr) control over all of Somaliweyn because he was no hypocrite nor traitor to his words. He was a man of character and self-respect to the end!
Voltage, Liqaaye_TDH will tell you that Riyaale conceded to Shariah law back in 2006 when the wadaads took over, so did Cadde Musse.
I already told you that 75% of the "missing" Somali kids in Minneapolis to Shabaab are Majerteen...their recruiters are other Daroods (Leelkase) and their mission is from Al-Shabaab, an Isaaq-led organization in Somalia. Don't worry about S/Land/P/Land, they're just 30% of the bigger game.

The only Clan blocks standing in somalia is Puntland and Somaliland, and shabaab is going devastate those two pretty soon
after that Ethiopia will collapse no doubt

No way will Shabaab gain control over Somaliland in the same manner they have taken over regions in the South.
Only by the will of those people will they work with them, not through something imposed on them and the chances of that happening are very slim to virtually non existant.

And a few angry men with beards can bring the change we need
We've got our own wadaads with no blood on their hands and who no1 can question the way they execute things based on the religion.

No it hasn't moved past the clan stage. The stem is dying out and these groups are on the retreat. These groups got chased ouu of:
Hawiyedom from Guricel past Celbur, out of balacad and soon Xamar etc.
They cannot take a step into Sland/Pland
So right now their only base of support is the deep south (Gedo, Bay/Bakool, Jubba's) and that will evaporate over time once Xamar gets its act together

The change from tribalism to nationalism could be eminent. 4 years ago it was unthinkable to see a clan or individual supporting an important figure for his merit and charisma. But in the election of presidency in Djibouti I witnessed ABGAAL supporters of Maslax Siyaad. They were arguing that the guy had the know how of leading a state while the sharif was a mere “Nice Guy”.
The phenomenal started with election of the shariif as the leader of the UNION COURTS. When he would have won fair and square if national election was held in Somalia.
Yes, Religious elements will aid in the process of nationalising the Somalis but other elements they will introduce in the process is what worries me and a lot of other people.

I can trust the ICU that control Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle

, real men like Asparo AUN, Sheikh Abduqadir Ali Omar and Sheikh Farah Moalim fought relentlessy to take out the Habeshi troops from those areas. They can also listen to the scholar's and their advice unlike Alshabaab and Hisbul Islami whose motives are immature and childish.
