Abakar,

Would you believe if I tell you, I don't even know what I'm under my main clan? I haven't thought about in so long that I don't even remember lol

On the other hand I perfectly remember my moms sub, sub sub clan names...it's weird.

Does anyone know where the claims about Warsangeli Harti Abgaal being a Darood clan come from? According to some, Garaad ''Xamar Gale'', son of the first Warsengeli Garaadship of the Darood, departed to Mogadishu and left some descendants whom have integrated completely with the Abgaal.

This common myth has always existed. But i want to see how reliable it is even though there isn't official confirmation or any written records. If there really was a Garaad of the Warsengeli (Darood) called Xamar Gale did he have offspring in Muqdisho by the names Cumar and Cabdalle.

Hold on, i think there's some flaws on this. This Garaad existed in the 1300s when he went to Xamar. At that time, Mudulood were just a pastoral group in Central Somalia. It wouldn't make sense chronologically at all. Also, the Garaad's name was Hassan. Yet, Cumar and Cabdalle are sub clan of Warsangeli Harti Abgaal.

Anyway, Warsangeli are an important sub clan of Abgaal. Does anyone know whether the Hiraab Imam comes from Warsangeli or the Awbakar clan?

Asalaamu alikum all.

lol, Honey.

Abakar, it hasn't always existed! This 'myth' has only surfaced recently, the North and South Warsangelis weren't even aware of each other.
I don't believe there is any truth to it. :|

ayub, caynato is the mother of habar cayno, a sub clan of murusade. but it doesnt make sense chronologically, as clan lineages never do anywya. btw xasan xaad is habar ceyno.
