This is big time qarxis. Any who has traveled through Puntland and Ogadenia knows how empty and scarcely populated they are. The notion that daroods are largest somali clan as advanced and propagated by the Afwayne regime to make his clan have numerical superiority was nothing but Pr. stunt on paper to psychologically feel superior to other clans, because sheer numbers. I've long wonder why Puntland, besides few cities is empty and uninhabited as well as ogadens. Now we all know the truth. Daroods are not bigger than isaaqs, it's otherway around.

Sicid bro u gotta to be kiddin me man u actually believe in tht map its correct in terms of where clans reside and thier territorial boundaries but its incorrect and erroneous Darood is the biggest clan in Somali society Isaaq clan is 5 sub clans Cidagalle and Arab and others being small langaab clans the only big ones are HA HY AND HJ the Darood list forgets to take into account many numerous clans of Darood for example Geri, Awrtable, Jidwaq(Bartire sub clan and Abaskuul), LeelKase, Dashishe, those are crucial clans to Darood Leelkase being a major clan and if you count the Ogaden clan they are 3 million the Ogaden region being 6 million ppl so sorry to burst ur bubble the map is not accurate and incomplete

you like to report about the population of ogadenia but u neva bring any fact...and on top of that d-block is not even the majority of the population there...why you ask then it is called ogadenia, well for the simple reason that the ethiopian emperor called it so to divide and conquer...we somalilander called it kilinka shanaad...like i said if they were a true majority then they wouldnt be defeated in Hawd by us...get real girl and bring fact...

Brother times change your right i think for the last 16 years darood was decreasing while isaaq was increasing and also the isaaq in the disapora is very large so there was no census taken since siad bare days aun anyway lets wait somaliland census your right what they dont understand is ogadenia is not settled by ogaden only but by a large isaaqs aswell

looool i dont believe they are near 4 million or that shit if they were 5 or 6 million they would have defeated tigre long time ago and al shabab which is really small numbers defeated it easily

the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) ,United Nations Commission on Human Rights (UNCHR) ,Amnesty International and US Department of State, among others agencies have all extensively documented and published reports on the Ogaden region, in these reports the population of the Ogaden region is stated..

That has no SIGNIFICANCE at all, in the eyes of the international community it is known as Ogaden not Kilinka Shanad or Somali Galbeed, even when foriegn journalist and inetrnational media such as the BBC is reporting atrocities and the humanitarian crisis in the region they say the term Ogaden.
