KULMIYE team vs. UDUB teams.

Post by Siciid85 »

Elections are coming up. So lets have a debate or discuss however you wanna do this.

Each member state who you favor, then state reason next to your choice. You can respond or challenge the staces of a member once you first state reasons for your support to x party.

let me start off.

1. I'm supporting KULMIYE.

I believe we need a fresh air of ideas, new leadership to get us moving again. It seems this current government lacks both class and failed to do as they were elected. These elections will not make much of an statement if the ruling party comes back for another term, only when new regime will this elections have merits and be legit in the eyes of many including the international donor nation who are observng our elections.

KULMIYE its' for me.

Over to you now.

Good topic!

Out of the 3 parties, i truly favour Kulmiye.

Reason being, the UDUB administration hasn't been making progress they should have been making over the last 2 years or so. They managed to put forward their 2 candidates a month before the election was supposed to happen and done so by the skin of their teeth, total lack of organisation.
Berbera has been totally mismanaged making alot of our traders go to Bosaaso instead.
They have run out of fresh ideas and the Economy is what should be focused on, which is the main priority for the Kulmiye party.

UCID needs to be more vocal as their running man doesn't have that personality to appeal to the masses. I like his honesty but too many times has he said things he shouldnt have said. Maybe as times go by with a few dchanges in their policy they shall have a chance.

UDUB - have been in power too long, have succeded with Igal(AUN) but failed with Riyalle. So they need a fresh face
KULMIYE - not much different to Udub but could be a fresh of breath air. However Siiranyo is too old maybe 10years ago but the old man should just take it easy for now.
UCID - faisal waraabe is probably a little crazy, but it could be a new change, but they are just like the liberal democrats: they are only there to make the numbers up.

So in conclusion I would go for KULMIYE just because there aren't better options available and a change of face could be what we need.

I didn't really care before I thought they were doing good ..but what pis.ssed me off was the realisation that UDUB blatantly manipulate and play on the fears of the population. Fellow s/landers think about it they are taking us for fools..

They alway say Opposition parties are pro Somalia (joining us with the chaos in the south)
When they are one of the 3 main parties allowed in constitution of somaliland, a silly slur

They imply other parties are tribalist

( as if they are the only party capable of sharing power equally and the other 2 parties will blunge us into chaos and 1990's habar wars)

That the recognition of S/land will be jeopardised

In summary I don't agree with the current ruling party trying to instill fear in people.

They know we what we want, and how to make people scared of losing peace, recognition hopes, and economic development
