Guys post the pros/cons of SNet, post what you like about the place what you hate about it
Pros
interacting with fellow Somalis
Forums dessiminate news, photos and progress back home
book review
Futuh al-habasa ("The Conquest of Ethiopia")
I like the book so much i bought my own copy
Cons
15% of Sneters have substance, 85% are qabilists
most of the topics are trivial, nonsensical and down right propaganda
overexposure to Somalis: the arrogance, pride, regionalism, nepotism and qabilism is to much
often forums make people defensive their either protecting thier clans, regions and their home cities.
Qabil is king in Snet does the phrase Somali Starbucks come to mind
often we are not welcoming of outsiders
lastly diversing interests: I'am interest in history, Sociology and anthropology most SNets are interest in politics and aggrandizing their qabil

The Admin has got clan factional groups operating underground

That sort of stuff wouldn't be tolerated in other forums.
