Why do Somalis (some Somalis) feel the need to stamp lands as belonging to a certain qabiil?

When we are developing our nation, carada qabiil ahaan maa loo kala goynaa?

Wallahi you raise an issue that has been on my mind for quite a while. I honestly don't see the need for clans to claim parts of land and say it belongs to them, why can't people just live where they want to live? Like for example, if your parents are from Xamar, and you say you are from Xamar but your qabil is not native there, people don't think you have the right to say you are from there, instead they say "No, go back to Mudug".

Fah - Your link is blocked by our system

Cawar - Can we not have a civilised conversation where people explain why ee ugu dhaganyihiin a place where they probably have never even been?

Keyse - I was curious like innit

Gifted - Ruuntaa abaayo it's not realistic to expect all the people from one qabiil to stay put in one area, who does xamar belong to anyway. Walahi I always thought reer xamar just ment dadka dagan never realised it was a qabiil.

Fah -

Fah

Go back to Hiraan.

BV, in my humble opinion I believe that Xamar belongs to all somalis. I know alot of people will disagree with me, but as the capital of Somalia, don't you think everyone is entitled to it?

Black Velvet,

The most developed city in Somalia can't even compare itself to Eldoret or Nakuru.
