Senior Yemeni officials: Yemen on its way to be a new Somalia. Foreign aid is the only solution to save Yemen.

Yemeni officials, diplomats and experts in Sana'a called on the international community to increase assistance to Yemen, despite the global economic crisis, warning that Yemen is on the verge of plunging into chaos and being transformed into a new Somalia.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdul-Karim Al-Arhabi, in an interview with France Press: "Look at the three million Somalis creating problems to the whole world." stressing that accession to the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC is one of the possible solutions to save Yemen.

"Yemen is getting used to poverty, but its poor economical situation deteriorated more basically because of the deterioration of the economic crisis" stated a diplomatic source.
