Wedding Costs

Post by black velvet »

I was doing some research into venues for an event (not a wedding). However, inevitably I started day dreaming about weddings (ladies you know what I mean) Now most of the venues are in Central London and I've always thought that that's where I'd get hitched. Lakin amaad aragteen how much they cost? I called one of these venues...ala quruxda! I asked for a quote markaas  qosol gariir aa igu dacay :|

For those of you who are of a marrying age...or past the marrying age, have you actually thought of how much it's going to set you back? Are you counting on family or are you going to turn religious on the day and hold it in a masjid?

simple wedding, lunch for men and small gathering for women = 5k max inshallah. I'd rather throw 20k off a bridge than blow it one night on a party. I couldnt live with myself if i spent that sorta money on a party.

BV,

Don't u know anyone who has an employee discount ? There are venues that can be hired at hotels startings around $6,000 or can go by a per person plate, $15-$20, another $4 for drinks or having a cash bar.

Nobleman,

If u do it in HArgeisa, let me know.

I doubt it those are the kinds of places where you'd have to book a table 12 weeks in advance....a table... to drink tea

Yeah I was told tea and bicuits costs £4.50 per head and nibbles £19.50 per head ....I didn't dare ask about a 3 course meal

LOOL What is Nibbles
basicly what i am going to do is give my future wife the option of whether to take a 6 month tour around the world or have the wedding at my mothers house, i think we all know which one she will choose 8-)
