Somalis in the Diaspora Flocking to work for the Government

Post by AbdiWahab252 »

I am told Nairobi is full of Somalis seeking jobs with the government but few want to venture inside the country. The majority are jocking for diplomatic positions.

A friend is begging me to come work with him in Xamar but I am taking a wait and see approach. It would be tempting though to return and serve the regime.

Yet this is not the Somalia I knew and more importantly who the enemies are and where they lurk.

Actually you won't be getting paid that much if you're working for the government....the money is in other organisations and the projects they assign. That's why most people there are more interested in getting funds for their various projects and being involved in such schemes than they are in working for the government and actually making a difference.

 That's what his ina adeer said about him when she was asked why she was opposing him....she said that he was not letting his people eat. You know the man actually believed in making a difference but unfortunately the men he was working with didn't.

But if you're really interested in swimming with the sharks and selling your soul to the devil, you should ship off to Nairobi especially if you have contacts there. Everyone is there and the entertainment is very good I've heard.
