So i was watching the arrivals at 10 Downing Street........

Post by Cali_Gaab »

Banki Moon and his wife were the first arrivals for the dinner at number 10 Downing Street hosted and welcomed by Gordon Brown and his wife. One after the other they kept on coming, the President of Turkey and his wife, The Saudi King, the German Chancellor, Sarkozy, Obama and his wife...the list was endless.

The common practise for Brown and his wife was....whenever a couple arrive, stand outside the door, greet them, take a few pictures for the journalists and let them enter the home. Only when a guest arrives alone shall Brown's wife enter the home and Gordon Brown stands there by himself.

Here's the eye browe raising part......Meles Zenawi

Good grief, what on earth was he doing there?????????????????

Good god.....here i am trying to paint a certain picture for people hoping that they will get the idea but no....1 comes in rolling her eyes and the other makes a comment about the height of the queen

No wonder Ethiopia is seen as a force to be recogned with back home by every single administration from Somaliland to Puntland to Dowlada hotelka.

Walahi this is a eye opener, here we are years and years later with so called leaders emerging after so called leaders running to Addis whenever the fingers get clicked over there and gratefull to obey their orders while their leaders are having expensive meals with the most powerfull world leaders.

Ethiopia is only respected for two things.

1. It's population.

2. It's location between Sudan and Somalia as a traditional Christian state.

I didn't get to watch it laakin I'm not surprised he was there. I knew he was invited and was going to be in the UK, the Oromos and other Ethiopians who are anti Zenawi were organising demos against him and invited us. Anyway, I think he was invited because of the millennium pledge they made about eradicating poverty....there's no better known country for it's poverty than Ethiopia lol

Voltage your second point is very true, however this dinner was meant for the most powerfull leaders, i do not understand why Melez had to be present, the whole focus of this sumit was the global economy, i fail to understand how Ethiopia could have any valuable contributions to it.

Second of all, if the West supports them because of them being a Christian State in the middle of Sudan and Somalia which is in the interest of the West, isn't it too late for Somalia to turn the tables around hence these Western powers have given their blessing to Ethiopia and the wealthy muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia and Turkey are trying to fit in with the West therfor have no interest in Somalia?

Nigeria, South Africa, and Ethiopia have never been faraway from a location where Africa needed to be represented.

South Africa and Nigeria because they are the economic giants of Black Africa and Ethiopia because of what I said. Rwanda has a stronger economy then Ethiopia.

It was just shocking to see him there, never in a million years would i have expected for him to show up. This shows how far behind we are as a nation, this calls for the infamous Kacaan walahi.

Some pictures of the arrivals.
