The guy who led them was this reer Kooshin man called something Shabeel. But I am sure there were more Marehans than those two although I think they did take the brunt.

i am not trying to be naive but wasnt all Marexan part of the Darwish, my grandmother told me he use to forcefully recruit and in many cases kill dozen of men apposing him and then he would loot the village, he Killed my great grand fathers brothers because they didnt want to fight along side him but then some of them would still follow him on his cause but back in those days this was obviously the norm, and the position could easily change to favor one over the other

that is some surgical knowledge in Gedo , but the only Darods I ever heard messing around with goats were Ciise maxamuud
