Hottest and 'Coldest' cities of Somalia

Post by dawwa9 »

Hottest (based on mean maximum temperatures) :
1. Luuq
2. Bardera
3. Afmadow
4. Scusciuban
5. Bosaso (Although with summer record highs technically not the hottest as many thought)

Coldest (based on mean minimum temperatures):
1. Erigavo (around December near freezing  ! )
2. Hargeisa
3. Burao
4. Qardo
5. Huddur

Dawwa,

Erigavo would be an awesome place to build a summer home to escape the heat.

Dawwa,

Its because it is on the coast and is very windy.

There is a place called Gawan, 30 km west of Hobyo which is a highland and is very cool.

Precious,

It is Italian for Iskushuban, a territory in Baari.

He means Iskushuban. I was born in Afmadow and I have been to Bardere and they are far from being the hottest places in Somalia. Afmadow has even cooler weather than Kismaayo from my experience. I think when you wrote Bardere, you meant to write Berbera. And Bossasso is at the top of the list.

I'm sure Baydhabo is way cooler than Buro'. Another reminder Sheikh is colder than Erigavo. Not sure though.

He took inaccurate gathering to measure.

Measuring by the Mean Overall Temperature, the hottest cities in Somalia are

1. Luuq
2. Berbera
3. Boosaaso
4. Bardera
5. Beledweyne

look at the driest cities in Somalia. Boosaaso at 11 cm rainfall per year followed by Alula and Skushuban, Bari is truly a desert  Gaalkacyo and qardo come next and they are 100+ cm and even they are very dry

Voltage,

Even though the very little rainfall in Bari it gets a lot water from streams that come from the highlands steaming up their way which make the place habitable.

Bari is literary filled with thousands streams and oasis’s:
