Signed Agreement with Kenya

Here is part of the agreement signing Somali waters away. This dowlad is screwing us over, this is worst than a standing army invading. I'm fuming

The agreement is a joint, but undivided, claim on the continental shelf beyond the 200 mile limit. The document acknowledges that the area described by Kenya south of Ras Kamboni within the 200 mile limit is in dispute and that Somalia will make it's own claim to the area at an "appropriate time", presumeably when she has a stable government.

This document gives nothing away, and , in fact, claims additional Somali territiry.

I concur old man or should I say Awowe. There is nothing that gives away territory but just states an acknowledgement that there is a dispute that will be resolved at a later date.

OMG, so what the hell was all the fuss about?

Did any of you bother to read the bloody document? What part of "the recommendations approved by the commission thereon shall not prejudice the positions of the two costal states with respect to the maritime dispute between and shall be without prejudice to the future delimitation of maritime boundaries in the area under dispute....." did you not get?

That's the whole point. According to this document, they didn't sign anything off. They just agreed to the recommendations for future settlement of the dispute to be drawn up which they could choose whether or not to implement. People are just jumping the gun.

the whole world is re-negotiating extending the continental shelf of soveriegn nations and even there are problems on this issue between canada, united states and the nordic countries within this regard. it is not giving away what somalia already owned. why cant you post one topic that can bring somalis rather than divide. tribal hypocrites in the west.

This is only a little peace of the document. But these guys were claiming they signed nothing. The fact that there was some an agreement brings some truth to other allegations.
